The Brief:
NTT DATA has been the Official IT Provider of The Open since 2013. In 2023, a decade later, Right Formula began its partnership with NTT DATA, overseeing the end-to-end planning and execution of their hospitality programme at The Open and The AIG Women’s Open.
To maximise NTT DATA’s sponsorship of The Open Championship, Right Formula curated an exclusive global networking environment for C-suite executives. The objective was to highlight NTT DATA’s cutting-edge technology while fostering meaningful business engagements through premium hospitality experiences, and uniting guests from NTT DATA offices worldwide.

Our Approach:
To ensure NTT Data’s flagship event achieved its desired business outcomes across all touchpoints, Right Formula delivered the following:
- Unified Delivery: Managing and navigating cultural differences to ensure seamless and unified guest experience, bringing together 100 key stakeholders from NTT Data’s Japanese HQ and key decision makers from offices across Europe & the US in line with NTT Data’s global rebrand.
- Bespoke Suite: Conceptualising and developing a private suite to highlight NTT Data’s technological advancements, featuring Lottie, an AI-driven avatar that provided real-time insights, exemplifying NTT Data’s innovative multi-modal approach to Generative AI technology.
- Exclusive Experiences: Curating exclusive, “money-can’t-buy” experiences, such as the opportunity for guests to play The Open course using ShotView technology, demonstrating NTT Data’s cutting-edge innovations while also deepening engagement with key decision-makers, sparking new business conversations and strengthening client relationships.
- Media Engagement: Assisting with several media briefings, where media guests from the world of sport & technology were educated about NTT Data’s role at The Open, showcasing various tech activations, such as “The Shot Wall” and “The Data Wall”.
- End-To-End Guest Management: Leveraging Right Formula’s proprietary digital tool ‘GRIP’ to manage 400 guests across the event, seamlessly organising transport and travel, dietary requirements, off-course activities, tours, Q&As, and 4 exclusive evening events.
